By accessing or using HumanLayer ("the Service") at humanlayer.network, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
HumanLayer is a proof-of-humanity identity protocol built on Base L2. The Service allows users to: • Create a soulbound identity NFT linked to their EVM wallet • Generate a Human Score (0–144) based on on-chain and off-chain activity • Use their verified identity across Discord, Telegram, and other platforms • Connect social profiles (Farcaster, Lens, ENS, Gitcoin) to boost their score
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using HumanLayer, you represent that you are a real human being and not a bot, automated script, or AI agent attempting to fraudulently obtain a human identity credential.
You agree to: • Provide accurate information during verification • Not attempt to game, manipulate, or fraudulently inflate your Human Score • Not share, sell, or transfer your soulbound identity or verification status • Not use the Service to impersonate another person • Not attempt to create multiple identities for the same person (Sybil attacks) Violations may result in permanent revocation of your identity credential.
Your HumanLayer identity NFT is soulbound — it is permanently tied to your wallet and cannot be transferred or sold. The NFT is recorded permanently on the Base L2 blockchain. We cannot delete or reverse on-chain transactions.
Our Discord and Telegram bots are provided as tools for server administrators to gate access to verified humans. By adding our bot to your server, you agree to: • Use the bot only for legitimate human verification purposes • Not use the bot to discriminate against users based on protected characteristics • Accept that role assignments are automated based on Human Score data
The HumanLayer name, logo, and all associated content are the property of HumanLayer. The protocol smart contracts are open source. You may not use our branding without written permission.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee: • 100% accuracy of Human Score calculations • Uninterrupted availability of the Service • That all bots will be detected and blocked Human Score is a probabilistic measure, not a guarantee of humanity.
HumanLayer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the Service (which is zero, as the Service is free).
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, attempt fraud, or engage in Sybil attacks. On-chain data cannot be deleted but access to our off-chain services may be revoked.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which HumanLayer is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles.
